Tough Mudder puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a timed race but a team challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles they won't find anywhere else.

Employees, leadership, friends and family of the Ropella Group all participated at the team-building event after training for several months.The obstacle course kicked off in Santa Rosa County during a chilly first week of March. The obstacles included:
"My favorite was the King of Swings because of the challenge. I felt like some of the obstacles were too easy, but that one definitely got me going." said James Raffield, IT manager for the Ropella Group. For more photos of the Ropella Group in action, click here.
Jeff Bennett, VP of Client Partnership Development, helped organize and persuade employees to participate. "It was a really fun experience. I would definitely go next year," said David Layne, Client Manager for Ropella Experts. Brandon Sierra, Executive Search Consultant, mentioned that he was just happy to have finished the race. Patrick Ropella, CEO and Chairman of the Ropella Group, put an emphasis on giving back to the community by setting up a Wounded Warrior Project sponsorship account in tandem with the Tough Mudder event.

The Ropella Group recently acquired the Fred Anthony Group, an Executive Search firm specializing in the chemical and coatings industries with almost 40 years’ experience, based in Chicago.
Principal Fred Anthony will serve as the Vice President of Key Corporate Accounts for the Ropella Group in their drive to expand and grow executive retained search services at the C-suite level for the Fortune 500 chemical and coatings industry clients.
"As we (The Ropella Group) have spent the last 30 years working very hard to position ourselves as the world's leading executive search firm primarily serving the global chemical industry, we are very excited to be acquiring and merging Anthony & Associates. Fred has been a worthy direct competitor with clients that tell us he has a great reputation for first class relationship management.
Fred also has an extensive background serving the coatings industry - a segment that we too have built a significant following in.
Together we look forward to driving the Ropella Group across the 5 million dollar per year revenue mark and continuing our 3 year pace of a 31%/year average growth rate. Patrick and Robbie Ropella joined more than 900 attendees at the recent American Cleaning Institute’s Annual Meeting & Industry Convention in Orlando to connect with industry titans, reconnect with old friends and network with new ones.
Among the many keynote speakers was former presidential candidate and Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. Governor Romney presented insights on the current political environment, themed “Keeping America Strong.”
The convention wasn’t all work and no play, though, as Robbie and friends danced the night away at the Oxiteno concert.
