MILTON, FL, November 8, 2007 - Patrick and Robbie Ropella of Ropella accompanied Team Florida to Sao Paulo, Brazil this week for a five-day trade and economic development mission. Led by Governor Charlie Crist, the Trade Mission included over 200 businesses and governmental leaders. Team Florida was also joined by representatives from economic development and educational organizations from around the state of Florida in efforts to reaffirm Florida’s fundamental connection with Brazil and learn from their success in areas such as ethanol, renewable energy and the aviation industry.
Delegates attended the Federations of Industries of Sao Paulo (FIESP), the American Chamber of Commerce of Sao Paulo, the U.S. Consul General, Thomas J. White, market briefings by the U.S. Commercial service, commercial briefings by the U.S. Embassy in Sao Paulo, business opportunity colloquiums for Brazilian businesses hoping to do business or invest in Florida, a targeted promotional campaign to attract prospective clients and business networking events.
Other Northwest Florida delegates included Jay Massey of Coco Design Associates (Pensacola), Mike Ross of Acredo Technologies (Panama City), and Naomi Melvin of Patient Practitioners (Chipley).
