World Vision


World Vision is distributing relief supplies to thousands of people devastated by the massive earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11. An emergency response team is on the ground in hard hit areas, providing water, blankets, and other urgently needed supplies to survivors. Ongoing efforts will focus on the unique needs of children, who are the most impacted.

Save The Children

Relief efforts for the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami continue to be hampered by the ongoing nuclear crisis, supply shortages and frigid temperatures. Save the Children carried out an exploratory mission north of hard-hit Sendai and found children living in desperate conditions.

Baptist Global Response

Presently our ability to respond to the tsunami is minimal. This is because access to these coastal areas is severely curtailed as the government responds to the crises in the area. We are concentrating our assessment on peripheral areas in non coastal areas where the damage was caused by the earthquake.

Ropella and its employees also give back through their time, talent, and treasure to the following charities:




Adopt-A-Class

Each year we adopt an elementary classroom in the local community. We are a “Business Sponsor” and provide a cash sum at the start of the year to use as the selected teacher sees fit. In addition, throughout the year our employees visit the classroom to help with special events and will provide additional supplies, snacks and gifts for the children.


Adopt-A-Highway

Volunteers “Adopt” a two-mile section of a state highway; follow DOT safety regulations; remove litter at least four times a year.



Adopt-A-House

Since its founding in 1976 Habitat for Humanity has built and rehabilitated more than 150,000 houses with families in need, becoming a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty in housing.

Adopt-A-Mom

The Pregnancy Resource Center offers free pregnancy testing and counseling to women in need and is run by volunteers with a heart for Mothers and their children. Classes are offered on child birth, infant care, breast feeding, and stress management etc.

Adopt-A-Family

We provide a complete family dinner for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Also, at Christmas we will make sure that the children have clothes and toys and at Easter, baskets. The family is selected by Families Count and/or Family Promise of Santa Rosa.

Adopt-A-Prison

The Beacon Baptist Prison Ministries reaches both the jail and prison environment with the gospel of Christ through its various chaplaincy programs. It has grown to include over nine local facilities on a weekly/ biweekly basis as well as preaching special services in prisons and jails around the country.

Disabled American Veterans

DAV volunteers drive sick and disabled veterans to and from VA medical facilities for treatment. The Transportation Network is a clear example of veterans helping veterans.

4-H

A vast community of more than 6 million youth and adults working together for positive change, 4-H enables America’s youth to emerge as leaders through hands-on learning, research-based 4-H youth programs and adult mentorship, in order to give back to their local communities.
