Prior to joining Lonza, Jan worked as director of business development, North America for SF Chem, Inc. She has more than 20 years experience in the chemical and allied industries including negotiations, strategic development, and tactical implementation of comprehensive plans.
Griselle Monyanez, Senior Research Scientist, Specialty Materials Business Group
Prior to joining Rohm and Haas, Griselle was a Post-Doctorate Associate in the Infectious Diseases Division of Emory University School of Medicine. She is an interdisciplinary research collaborator in biochemistry and cell biology and has authored and coauthored several scientific journal publications.
Rohm and Haas is a global pioneer in the creation and development of innovative technologies and solutions for the specialty materials industry. In the new position, Griselle will utilize her laboratory expertise and research experience in a hands-on role.
Kristin Hartzell, Product Development Director
Akron, OH
Ms. Hartzell has a unique combination of both personal care formulation development and pharmaceutical science. Her previous work experience includes working for employers such as Dow Corning Corporation and the University of Florida. She has proven her management expertise in the past and has several patents issued and pending.
Gojo Industries is the manufacturer of Purell, America’s #1 instant hand sanitizer. The company’s sole focus is hand hygiene and healthy skin. As a result, they lead the industry in developing skin care solutions for a variety of markets, including healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, foodservice, education, and government. As Product Development Manager, Kristin will lead the development and commercialization of new products consistent with customer needs.
Lee Humphreys, Vice President of Business Development
Lee has more than 20 years experience in international marketing for the chemical and allied industries. Prior to joining Signum, he served as Vice President of International Marketing for OBAGI Medical Products.
Signum is a private biotechnology company dedicated to acquiring and developing effective, innovative, economical medicines to prevent and treat diseases of aging. In the new position, Lee is responsible for various business development activities, including market assessment and strategy.
Alison Lukacsko Ph.D., Vice President of Innovation and Business Development, WWS Division
Atlanta, Georgia
Ms. Lukacsko has over 20 years of management experience, holding leadership roles for 15 of those years. She has launched an average of 30 new products per year and held senior level positions with Bristol-Meyers Squibb and Church & Dwight. Alison also spoke, on open innovation, at the Global Technology Symposium for Stanford University.
Georgia-Pacific is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tissue, pulp, paper, packaging, building products and related chemicals and is the second-largest U.S. forest products manufacturer. Georgia-Pacific was acquired by Koch Industries in 2005, the largest private company in the U.S. according to Forbes. Alison will be instrumental in the continuous development and launch of line extensions and new products in support of the Commercial Washroom and Wiper Solution (WWS) categories.
Andrew Gridharry, Global Marketing Manager

Prior to joining National Starch, Andrew was Head of Sales and Marketing for Biofuels Corporation PLC. He is a chartered marketer with more than a decade experience growing sales through strategic business initiatives. His expertise includes operational performance analysis, segmentation, and management for multinational organizations.
NSPC, a member of ICI Group, is a worldwide manufacturer of adhesives, specialty polymers, personal care products, electronic materials and specialty starches. It operates a global network of 154 manufacturing and customer service centers in 37 countries. In the new position, Andrew is responsible for developing and executing effective skin care marketing programs that drive profitable growth of NSPC’s product portfolio.
Blake Johnson, Facility Manager
Specialty Chemical Products is a manufacturer of specialty silica products with certain fluoride compounds.
Blake has extensive experience in safety and quality assurance, having worked previously with J. M. Huber Corporation and Fraser Papers Inc. In the new position, Blake is responsible for operation and maintenance of Specialty Chemical Products’ new plant at Moses Lake and the silica recovery operations at Rock Island. Duties include worker safety, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and environmentally sound operations.

Mr. Avila is an Ivy League graduate with over ten years of industry experience. He has proven his extensive sales and marketing expertise, having grown his last company’s sales revenue over 70% in just three years. Mr. Avila has worked for companies such as Shaklee Corporation and Omni Nutraceutical. Additionally, he is proficient in the Spanish language & markets.
Solazyme is a synthetic biology company whose product development activities are focused on multi-billion dollar markets including energy (fuels), industrial chemicals, and specialty ingredients for cosmetic, nutritional and pharmaceutical markets. They are headquartered in South San Francisco, CA.
Tom Burns, NAFTA Sales Director, Care Chemicals
Cognis is a leading specialty chemicals company with 160 years of experience in oleochemicals. They develop innovative products and solutions for personal care, home care and modern nutrition, as well as high-performance products for numerous industrial markets. As Director of Sales, Tom will manage the sales force of the NAFTA Care Chemicals division, including development of strategic programs and evaluation of the competitive marketplace.
Gary Sullivan, Technical Service Chemist
