This depends on each client’s requirements and the nature of the candidate’s employment status. If requested, we will reference check candidates before they are considered by a client; however, we typically check references before the first face-to-face interview.
We first use a web-based reference platform called Harver that is very fast, simple to use, and very effective. If a client asks that more in-depth references be completed, then those are started when a client is preparing for an offer and are done by phone or even in person.
All candidates are reference-checked normally by both the client and Ropella before any offer is extended. We believe there should be a partnership process when it comes to background checks, degree confirmation checks, and reference checks.
