Visiting P&G and Dow

Posted: 06/17/2019  Category: Insights

Last week, I packed my bags and headed to the Midwest along with Christian Hogue, Director of Client Partnership Development, to strengthen some long-standing relationships.

Our first stop was Cincinnati, Ohio, to meet with executives at Procter and Gamble. When I first published the first edition of The Right Hire almost 10 years ago, then CEO and Chairman of P&G Bob McDonald gave me an endorsement: “Patrick, It was nice seeing you at this year’s Soap & Detergent Association annual meeting. I look forward to sharing The Right Hire with my leadership team. Thanks again to a valued partner and Leader.”

From there we headed to Midland, Michigan, to meet with executives at Dow. Ropella has placed almost 25 employees with Dow and its subsidiaries since 1990. Dow has also provided us with some of our most highly valued testimonials, including this one from Andrew Liveris, former CEO and Chairman of Dow and current Executive Chairman of DowDuPont: “Patrick, Thank you for all that you and Ropella do for Dow. The processes and systems you have applied (from The Right Hire) while working with Dow have proved very valuable over many years of service.” Another comes from HR Discipline Leader Clint Shephard: “I speak for myself when I say that the Ropella “process” has been impressive with regard to other search firms and headhunters we’ve used in the past. Truly a dynamic process between the research efforts, skills surveys, marketing piece, and executive summaries.”
