The Ropella Group Sponsors Local Youth Soccer Team

As a Christian-based company, the Ropella Team is always looking for opportunities to give back to the community. Patrick Ropella, CEO of the Ropella Group, decided to be generally charitable by sponsoring the U12 Knights soccer team through the Gospel Projects Youth Athletic Club (YAC) here in Milton.  The Gospel Projects YAC is a Christian organization that receives no local, state, or government financial aid and relies on sponsorships from local businesses.

Throughout the 20-game season, the U12 Knights displayed good sportsmanship and discipline and fought hard to win the title. Mr. Ropella was not the only member of the Ropella Team that decided that they wanted to be apart of the Knights soccer season; James Raffield stepped in as the team’s Head Coach and Scott Schmieder stepped in as one of the two Assistant Coaches.  Mr. Ropella and the boys and girls of the U12 Knights excitedly look forward to the next time they are able to work together as a team.

Ropella Places Technical Director for Valtech Corporation

POTTSTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA, NOVEMBER 13, 2018 – Congratulations to Haixin Yang, who recently accepted an offer to become Valtech’s new Technical Director.

Haixin is an innovative industrial polymeric materials scientist experienced in overseeing the entire product life-cycle, from research through manufacturing and technical support.  Over the course of career, he has been awarded 18 U.S. and 30 international patents, and has authored of 25 scientific publications.  Haixin comes to Valtech from Heraeus Precious Metals, where he spent 2 years as an R&D Scientist and Project Manager.  While with Heraeus, he developed polymer formulations to enable new silver paste product development, as well as new silver conductive thick film paste products.  He has also worked as a Principal Investigator for DuPont and a Scientist for Polaroid.  He earned his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Queen’s University.

Valtech Corporation is a global manufacturer of high-performance specialty chemical products used in silicon and photovoltaic wafer manufacturing, high-performance cleaning and as components for wire saw pulleys and roller machining.  As the Technical Director, Haixin will be a key member of the Adhesives & Polymer business unit, responsible for product development, technical support and strategic leadership.

Ropella Places Production Leader for Clearon

Ropella Places Mechanical Test Engineer for Infineum

LINDEN, NEW JERSEY, October 29, 2018 – Congratulations to Don MacCrimmon, who recently accepted an offer to become Infineum’s new Mechanical Test Engineer.

Don comes to Infineum from Brake Parts, Inc.  During his 8-year tenure with Brake Parts, Don served as a Product Engineer and as a Test Engineer in the Research & Development facility, working with automotive friction material composites in both positions.  As Product Engineer he focused on formulations, raw materials, processing, performance testing, adhesives, coatings, chemical testing, physical testing, digital imagery, specifications and documentation; as Test Engineer, he analyzed characteristics such as effectiveness, noise, wear, fade, structural integrity and opposing surface compatibility.  Prior to his time at Brake Parts, Don was a Graduate Research Assistant at Southern Illinois University, where he earned his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, with a thesis entitled “Automotive Brake Wear Debris Analysis”.  He has his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University.

Infineum is a leading fuel and lubricant additive manufacturer focused on delivering reliable performance.  They were established in January 1999 as a joint venture between ExxonMobil and Shell.

Although Ropella’s initial objective was to find a Powertrain Test Lab Team Leader for Infineum, they located a number of highly qualified professionals that Infineum wanted to bring onto their team, including Shahzeb Sayeedi, who accepted the Powertrain Test Lab Team Leader position, and Jacob Goodale, who accepted an Engineering position.  The next step in this fruitful business partnership will be recruiting a Technical Sales Account Manager.
